Description:
A Modern Flaneur's Possessions is an ongoing project that consists of nine B&W photographic montages, each digitally constructed from multiple photographs shot at a single location. In this project, Wu explores how the ambiance of public spaces subconsciously affects the personal experience. Wu adopted psychogeography as methodology to navigate around unfamiliar spaces, while taking abundant snapshots. Later, these snapshots are rearranged into different abstract configurations. Doing so, Wu is interested in re-interpreting the senseless urban space into dynamic landscapes where viewers can dwell within.
