Description:
Meditation under the light and shadow is a site-specific project at Center for the Art in University at Buffalo - North Campus. Despite the claustrophobic interior of the building, there is one spot where all the lights come in and bring me a sense of relief. Hence, I use photography to collect the visual qualities of the space and create a series of patterns. Then I apply the pattern to cardboard and construct a 4-panel folding screen. The installation aims to manifest the ambiance by elevating the presence of light and shadow.
